The Bourk’s story is a refreshing tale that began in 1937, with Bob and Myrtle Bourk distributing batteries out of their basement in Belleville, Ontario. Within two short years their strong entrepreneurial spirit and hard work grew their small company into a Supertest Station locating in Smiths Falls, Ontario. By securing a service contract in 1944 with United Motors, later to be known as AC Delco. Bourk’s ignition was well on its way to expansion into Ottawa, Kingston, Cornwall, Renfrew and Hull becoming well-known in the trade as a dependable source of knowledge and personal service.
By the end of the 1940’s Bourk’s had received several major service contracts and franchises, growing into a major distribution and service centre for AC Delco products. 1951 marked the introduction of it’s second generation as Tom Bourk, a nephew of Bob and Myrtle, joined the company, and soon after acquired major shareholder status, thus becoming the President of Bourk’s Ignition Limited.
It is from this point forward that the Bourk’s reputation preceded itself as success never overshadowed service. First time clients became long time clients as new car owners would choose to trust their vehicles to Bourk’s Service rather than the original dealership where they made their original purchase.
Today under the steady hands and care of third generation Gary and Bill Bourk, no detail or client concern is too small to go un noticed. A friendly handshake will greet you and be symbolic of the trusted care delivered to you by the Bourk’s staff just as it has been for over 85 years.

My husband and I just moved from Nova Scotia and we were looking for a new garage. We saw great reviews, and when my car wouldn’t start, I called CAA and had them tow us to Bourk’s. Are we ever happy we did. The staff are extremely friendly, courteous, and quick turnaround. He took the time to explain to me exactly what they had to do. Quoted the price before hand, we picked up the vehicle today. Went over the work order took the time to answer all of my questions. This is definitely our new garage. They have not forgotten what Customer Service is all about and we appreciated everything. Keep up the great work guys

Offered a local uber, had strong wifi, and heck they even offered me a muffin.

Stuart and Jackson are consistently friendly and efficient during check-in, which makes the process smooth and stress-free. It’s also incredibly convenient that they offer a shuttle service if you don’t have transportation. Bruce is usually the driver, and I’m always happy to see him — he’s relaxed, personable, and a great driver.
All of the service work on my vehicles has been completed by Brennan Lorint, and I’ve never had any issues with the quality of his work. I have great confidence in the team and highly recommend Bourk’s Complete Car Care for all your automotive service needs.

Initially, I was going to leave my car for the week so they could check it over when they had time but they managed to squeeze me in and everything was resolved quickly before I had to leave. The guys in the shop and the gentleman driving the shuttle were all wonderful and I consider their rates to be reasonable.
